T.I.P.S. was created out of necessity and founded by Bill Kurtain based on the number of people who want to “pick his brain” for the experience and knowledge he’s gathered, having built three indoor tennis clubs throughout his career. Starting as a tennis teaching professional in 1976, Bills’ long term vision was to ultimately build/own his own tennis club, work for himself, and create a very secure financial future. Mission accomplished!
Currently, Bill is President of Winning Touch Tennis, (W.T.T.), which owns/operates two indoor tennis clubs, one in Princeton, N.J., the other in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania. W.T.T. is a full service Tennis Management Company that also operates tennis programs at a number of private locations. Having taught well over 50,000 hour of tennis instruction throughout his career, Bills’ current role is to grow W.T.T., develop the careers of young tennis professionals, and help those who would like to become club owners. He is also President of the United States Professional Tennis Association, Middle States Division.
Although the success of Winning Touch Tennis is now evident, “the school of hard knocks” reared an ugly head along the way. Had there been a venue such as T.I.P.S., multiple mistakes could have been avoided while considerable money could have been saved. Though it might look easy, creating an indoor tennis club from vision to reality is a very comprehensive, diligent, well planned process. Success can never be insured in any venture based on a variety of risk factors, therefore risk management and proceeding on a well educated path should be the highest priority.
Tennis Investment Projection Services is an outlined four stage consulting process. Each stage is price based on estimated time spent, and can be contracted separately. A modification to any of the four stages to meet the specific needs of your project is acceptable. A written summary is offered at the conclusion of each stage, and recommendations presented. A confidentiality agreement is welcome and there is no obligation to continue at any stage.
